Once again Théâtre St-Bruno Players wins big at the Gala des Arlequins de la Fédération québécoise de théâtre amateur. It’s a Wonderful Life – A Live Radio Play by Joe Landry, directed by Dave Maynard, was awarded the Arlequin for best comedy/drama.
The troupe was also nominated in 3 other categories. Kalamazoo by Michelle Kholos Brooks and Kelly Younger was nominated in the category of “best comedy”. Emily Fleming was nominated for best actress for her role as Lana Sherwood in “It’s a Wonderful Life.” And finally Jean-Guy Richard was nominated for best musical score for his work in “It’s a Wonderful Life.”
Since its’ inception in 2008, Théâtre St-Bruno Players has won 10 Arlequins and nominated 48 times. This year the jury of Fédération québécoise de théâtre amateur screened 63 plays from across the province.
